I want to acknowledge that we are on the traditional lands of the Multnomah, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Tualatin Kalapuya, Molalla, and many other tribes and bands of the Chinookan peoples who have been the stewards of this land for generations. I honor their enduring connection to this region and express gratitude for their past, present, and future contributions. I also recognize Indigenous communities' ongoing challenges and commit to learning, listening, and supporting their voices and rights.

I extend my deepest gratitude and respect to the Mazatec people, Maria Sabina, a visionary curandera, and to all ancestors, curanderos/as, and medicine keepers and my personal maestra/os who have steadfastly maintained reverence for the sacred tradition of plant medicine. Their wisdom and devotion have illuminated the path of healing as they dedicated their lives to preserving and sharing the healing power of plant medicine.
